Starting Again…

It’s been quite a while since I last wrote a blog post! Wow! It’s been a very long winter here on the farm, and my time has been consumed with fighting cancer and all that goes with that.
The quote I chose for this blog post is so appropriate — because each day is a beginning and an opportunity to start again. Let me tell you, cancer can have a way if you let it, of making you feel there will never be a chance to “start again”. That is simply a lie and just not the truth in any way.
Just wanted to report the greenhouse is brimming with hanging baskets, and so much more for your enjoyment and choosing this spring. Brian is carrying the load this spring, and I am anxiously awaiting the end of treatment in early May! My role this spring has been one of deep planning, writing out directions for Brian and answering a million daily questions. Though it has been so difficult to be restricted from being in the greenhouse (Dr’s orders), we both realize it is for a season and one we must just get through and make work.
We wanted to share with you that we have moved into a new line of flowers, expressly for our hanging baskets this year. “PROVEN WINNERS” . Wow! are we ever excited to give this a go. In case you are not familiar with Proven Winners, here is a bit about them.

I will be sure to share some pictures of the planting and growing stages in our next blog post… but for now here are a few early bloom pics to get you excited for spring.

2026 will be our 26th year for the Farm Stand! It’s hard to imagine. We have been here for the long haul for so long, and have undergone many changes to be where we are today.
In short… we have stood the “Test of Time” and “Endurance” in a word where so many come and go quickly. It has taken a lot of grit and stamina through a lot of difficult times and circumstances
